Hi all,
a little bit OT because mythtv related:
I'm trying to setup my backend (Analog graber card without HW-encoding) for my ME6000.
It doesn't seem to be possible to generate a MPEG-2 stream by software, is it?
The only possibilities to encode I found was RTJPEG and MPEG-4.
Thanks for your help!
OT: MPEG-2 software encoding

I think it's because of the high cpu load produced by the MPEG-4 decoding.
And i believe that the video would be a little bit better when MPEG-2 would be decoded in hardware than decoding MPEG-4 in software on a VIA with 600MHz, wouldn't it?
