Post by Pablo »

http://linpvr.org/dnload/releases/0.18.1.0rc1/

This release updates MythTV to 0.18.1 and updates the Unichrome drivers to the ones that include the Noscale mode lines.

Will it work with 0.18.0 backend ?

Post by cyrus007 »

Will it work with older backends (did not see anywhere on mythtv.org and haven't browsed the forums yet) ? Probably it would be good idea to let everybody know, when a new version is relased, what is the oldest version on the backend it can work on.

I get the following in Xorg.0.log

I do not think that it causes any problems, but you can make it go away by loading the int10 module in the Module section of your xorg.conf file.

In general, it is hard to know how far back it will work. MythTV is typically only tested with the backend and frontend at the same version. One can guess based on the MythTV communication protocol version.

Based on that, it should work with 0.18, but it will not work with not work with 0.17 or earlier.

The picture doesn't cover the entire screen, even when turning on overscan. Is this because of the noscaling unicrome driver? Is there a way I can adjust the size of the picture? (both gui and vid)
