I (my wife, really) put 0.19-18 through a few more days of testing and everything is working 100%. I'd hear about it if it didn't work exactly right! :lol:

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad that it is passing the WAF test.

Hi

It's not working for me - I get a blank screen as if X has died right after the first pre-scaling theme images reaches 100%.

The box is still responsive and I can telnet in verify that X has indeed died, and the following is logged in Xorg.conf at the moment of death:

(II) VIA(0): ViaTVPower: On.
(II) VIA(0): VT1622Power
(II) VIA(0): VIACloseScreen
(II) VIA(0): [drm] Cleaning up DMA ring-buffer.
(II) VIA(0): [drm] Freeing agp memory
(II) VIA(0): [drm] Releasing agp module
(II) VIA(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel
(II) VIA(0): [drm] unmapping 8192 bytes of SAREA 0xdedc3000 at 0xb5951000
Freed 6638400 (pool 1)
(II) VIA(0): [drm] Irq handler uninstalled.
(II) VIA(0): VIARestore
(II) VIA(0): VT162xRestore
(II) VIA(0): ViaDisablePrimaryFIFO
(II) VIA(0): VIAUnmapMem
FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing.

I'm running an M10000 with 512MB RAM, PXE booting. My config:

cat minimyth.conf | grep -v ^# | grep -v ^$
MM_TZ='Europe/London'
MM_VIDEO_ASPECT_RATIO='16:9'
MM_VIDEO_DEINTERLACE_ENABLED='yes'
MM_X_TV_ENABLED='yes'
MM_X_TV_TYPE='PAL'
MM_X_TV_OUTPUT='S-Video'
MM_X_DISPLAYSIZE_X=400
MM_X_DISPLAYSIZE_Y=225
MM_MYTH_SERVER=calculon
MM_MYTH_DBUSERNAME='mythtv'
MM_MYTH_DBPASSWORD='mythtv'
MM_MYTH_DBNAME='mythconverg'
MM_THEME_NAME='DVR'
MM_THEMEOSD_NAME='blueosd'
MM_LIRC_DRIVER='serial'

Tried also with G.A.N.T. / Titivilius-OSD but same deal.

Cheers

Update - I get the same problem with my configuration completely stripped down to the bare minimum:

MM_TZ='Europe/London'
MM_MYTH_SERVER=calculon
MM_MYTH_DBUSERNAME='mythtv'
MM_MYTH_DBPASSWORD='mythtv'
MM_MYTH_DBNAME='mythconverg'
MM_THEME_NAME='DVR'
MM_THEMEOSD_NAME='blueosd'

Also, even after running "delete from settings where hostname = blah" so it's not something hanging around from a previous install.

It's working well with 0.19-16.

Cheers
James

From what you have posted, it appears that mythfrontend is crashing for some reason. Could you add MM_DEBUG='yes' to your boot line (the APPEND line in the PXELINUX configuration file) and look in the resulting /var/log/minimyth.log and see mythfrontend gives any reason for the crash? Thank you.

It can't find the theme - and studying /var/log/messages on my TFTP server I found it was requesting DVR.sfs from /themes/ and I had it placed in /conf/beaky/

However after correcting this I get the same problem - DVR.sfs is definately in the right place now...
