Problems playing back recorded material in 58b7

Post by bowmo »

Hi Pablo,

I don't know where I should put bugs, so I'll put it here :)

I just tried to playback a recording with 58b7, mm thinks a couple of seconds, then it exits again. Live tv is working without problems.

Reverting to my 57 (homebuild) it works fine..

First, could you test with 58 rather than 58b7 now that it is the most recent version?

If you have the problem with 58, then try the following:

Telnet in to the frontend as user 'minimyth'. Run the command 'killall mythfrontend' followed by the command 'xinit'. After doing that try to play recorded television and check whether or not there is any useful output in the telnet window.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.

ahh.. I didn't see that you already had released 58.. :)

It seems to work ok, so no problems in that part right now..

Did you include the extra kernel patch for CF cards, limitin PIO modes?
