$(LINUX_MODULESDIR) ?

Post by warpme »

Pablo,

I'm writing makefile for ATI fglrx drivers.
Maybe it is silly question, but what should be done in makefile for having proper setup
of $(LINUX_MODULESDIR) variable ?
thx in advance

I am not sure what you are asking.

LINUX_MODULESDIR is defined by the kernel package file, which can be included using

Code: Select all

GAR_EXTRA_CONF += kernel-$(mm_KERNEL_VERSION)/linux/package-api.mk
LINUX_MODULESDIR does not include DESTDIR, so when used to set an installation directory, you may need to prefix it with DESTDIR.

Pablo,

Thanx. It works.

BTW: May You hint me why I have issue with copying to image one particullar library from ATI fglrx binary package ?

here is console output:

Code: Select all

copying dependent libraries
pass 1 found 125 libraries to copy
pass 2 found 11 libraries to copy
pass 3 found 4 libraries to copy
pass 4 found 1 libraries to copy
pass 5 found 1 libraries to copy
pass 6 found 1 libraries to copy
pass 7 found 1 libraries to copy
.....

I suspect that the binary ATI driver depends on a binary library that it did not install in one of the default library paths.
