Thanks, MM_MEDIA_GENERIC_LIST will handle my posters and roms requirements.

Regarding the build, it completed successfully and runs fine. It is compatible with my 0.21-fixes 17450 backend.

I am now trying to get the Imon LCD working - the final step. I have met a few incidental difficulties, so I have posted a few new threads in the appropriate areas here.
I have seen some encouraging signs, ie. the device isn't grabbed by usbhid any more, it is registered by lirc, and when running LCDd from the telnet prompt - ie. it didn't crash.

Hopefully the end is near!
Thanks,
Simon.

The end has been reached :-)

An Imon LCD 15c2:0038 works with test build 60b3, which contains lirc-0.8.4a. This LCD is found in recent Antec Fusion Black Remote cases, among others.

It works from bootup (ie. no fiddling around with telnet to turn it on) with this (minimal) minimyth.script:

Code: Select all

# Include the MiniMyth configuration variables and functions.
. /etc/rc.d.sh/functions

/bin/echo 1 > /sys/module/lirc_imon/parameters/is_lcd

and this (not minimal) minimyth.conf:

Code: Select all

There is a slight issue with the LCD display, as the last char on the top line is oscillating between a hash and a sideways colon. Looks like a bit of tickling in the lirc driver might help. I'll see if I can contribute.

It's not easy to get this darn LCD working, and we are the most part there now. Thanks to Pablo and Guierrmo, nietu who helped out :-) :-)

I found out why this is. It's the Mythtv 'heartbeat' which is configured on the frontend's setup page for LCD enable and detailed settings.

So, on turning that off (and enabling a few more choice items like notification of recordings etc etc) the Imon 15c2:0038 LCD works perfectly with Minimyth (test build 60b3). An excellent result.
