3482714 patch error

Post by warpme »

Pablo,
FYI
I had issue described in:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthr ... 95&page=54
Post #799

After some investigation, issue seems to be related to Your mplayer patch.
If You apply vanilla 3482714 onto current mm mplayer SVN - one hunk is failed. Patch tool shows this inly with verbose option.

I regenerate 3482714 patch (with manual editing failed hunk) and issue seems to disappear.

Also pls consider add patch to fixing ref_frames to 16 for h264 high profile. For me it fixed green screen for some movies (despite that 3482714 which auto sets ref_frames)

My change is:

Code: Select all

case IMGFMT_VDPAU_H264_HIGH:
    vdp_decoder_profile = VDP_DECODER_PROFILE_H264_HIGH;
    max_reference_frames = FFMIN(16, rndr->info.h264.num_ref_frames);
    break;
to

Code: Select all

case IMGFMT_VDPAU_H264_HIGH:
    vdp_decoder_profile = VDP_DECODER_PROFILE_H264_HIGH;
    max_reference_frames = 16;
    break;

MiniMyth no longer uses the VDPAU patches from NVIDIA. Instead, it uses the VDPAU support that is included in FFmpeg and MPlayer.
MiniMyth running on an Acer ApireRevo 3610 and a Zotac ZBOX-ID80-U. Find out more at my MythTV page.
