First, Minimyth is a great piece of software. It makes using MyhTV so much easier for me since I have been using Via Epia boards as frontends.
Currently, my frontend is a Asus S1-AT5NM10E Barebone with 2 GB of RAM. It boots over a NFS root file system and I had no problems with 0.23.1-76.
Recently I have upgraded my backend to 0.24.1 and therefore I switched minimyth to 0.24.1-78.
Booting is more or less the same as with the previous version.
But when it comes to "Configuring X", the system starts to really become slow.
From "Configuring X" to being able to navigate the menu it takes several (> 5) minutes.
/var/log/messages shows lots of "Error: Failed to load 'Droid Sans', got 'Liberation Sans' instead" errors, but I doubt that this is the reason for the bad performance.
Navigating from the main menu to the media library (ie pushing the ok button and wait for being able to chose between recordings, mythvideo, etc) it takes 10 seconds.
CPU-Utilization is at 100 %.
SD-Video playback stutters a little bit, although the "VDPAU normal" playback profile is selected. CPU-Utilization is just at about 10-20% when playing back video.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find the 0.24.1-76 download for comparison. And I'm too lazy to switch my backend back to 0.23 to try 0.23.1-78 (I will, if there's no other possibility left).
The only other frontend I was able to try is the Windows binary on my laptop. It works like a charm. So everything seems to be fine with the backend.
I really appreciate any help! If I can give you more details about my soft- or hardware setup, don't hesitate to tell me.

Seems to be a problem with the nvidia driver!?
The frontend crashes and leaves me with a blinking cursor in the top left of the screen...
I really appreciate any hints
